Every morning we hear a bird that we all love and it sounds like a short “wheee” sound. It’s very high pitched and that’s all I can identify.
Some people have said it’s possibly a starling, but I’m yet to find any audio the same from a Starling.
Thanks in advance!

It's now 2024 and I've been searching for ages for this exact discription and never find anything. Hoping to resurect as it has been confirmed not to be Greenfinch, Starling or BullFinch...The 'Weeee!' reminds me of a child going down a slide, cartoonish as the OP described. How I wish I knew which bird it was! :) I am in Northen England...
Where is the sound coming from, and (assuming it's a bird) have you seen the bird?
I hear it throughout the day, however it's most common in the morning and all I can tell (the birds like to sit on the roof of the house across the road) they're small and brownish... sorry, I am not very helpful!
I have listened to so so many youtube videos of British bird calls and not once have I heard it to show what I mean...
Thanks. How are you ruling starling out?
