This guy just set off our chickens in the garden squawking like mad! Think it might be an osprey or a goshawk but not sure as he wasn't that large.Any ideas?

Some Sparrowhawks especially females can have a noticeable eye stripe. It looks too small for a Goshawk and they would be a very rare visitor to a garden I'd have thought.
