Hi all,
Not too good on my Warblers..is this a Reed Warbler? Thanks all.
Hi Tim
It certianly looks like a Reed Warbler to me
I thought Sedge Warbler might be high on the list but this bird lacks the wing stripes through the back/wing area

Hi Kathy and Dave,
Below is a picture I took a few days ago at Radipole which I think is a Sedge Warbler, has the stripe on the head which the bird above hasn't. But like I say I struggle with Warblers so I appreciate the guidance...
Tim
Hi Tim, the bird is indeed a Reed Warbler.
Things to note are the white throat, thin pale eye ring, dark brown or greyish legs, long tail with pale undertail coverts long wing feathers, fringes pale but diffuse and a long, slim sharp bill.
The second photo you have uploaded is indeed a Sedge Warbler. Note the blackish and cream streaks on cap, wide silver-white stripe over the eye, dark linefrom bill through eye and soft greyish streaks on a tawny back.
Hope this helps!

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
I agree with Buzzard that your second picture is a Sedge Warbler.
The light markings above the eyes makes this bird easy to ID over the other Warblers.
I agree with the other people here. This first bird is definitely a reed warbler.
This is the bird who's nest is most preferred by cuckoos.
The second pic is a classic sedge warbler. I have pics of these on my web site if you want to compare.
Best wishes Chris
