Can anybody tell me what this is, then. Eh? Discovered in Cornwall and needing an ID so that it can feel noticed and loved.
Don't know what plant it feeds on, as this is a picture sent to me from a colleague who was very vague about such helpful details.

Yeah, it's not gonna be easy. I might just make a name up and tell him it's that :)
Could it be a Yellow-tail Moth?

It's the caterpillar of a Drinker moth (so called because the larvae like to drink dew).
Sorry it's taken so long. I ID'd the moth of the species for someone recently and was reminded that you had asked about this caterpiller.
