Taken on the Isle of Skye a little while ago and very high up on a cliff face. We watched for about hour :)
I just enlarged the last image for a closer look, absolutely 100% Golden eagle, looks youngish too.
The fact that the WTE doesnt really dwarf it certainly suggests the GE is a female also.
Again, brilliant pics, and a really rare sight.

Hello Jackruss, I was not going to attempt to ID them. but glad someone has for you.
Welcome to the Forum, and fab pictures. :-)
Thanks for all the warm welcomb's and the quick replies My thoughts were that the "other " bird was a GE but was not sure lol seeing I have never seen one until then and so far away I was lucky just to see the white tailed let alone anything else and to a get a dodgy picture :) If not it would have been like a fishermans tail, the one that got away.
Thanks once again :)
Fantastic photos there Jack ye were in the right place at the right time :)
Thanks for sharing them and welcome to the fourm.
Cheers

If its no fun Yer no doin it right!
Hi Jackruss
Welcome to the forum from me too.
WOW a white tailed eagle and a golden eagle in one shot and you watched them for about an hour. Lucky you!
I'm so envious. Thank you for sharing these pics with us.
I must make arrangements to go to Skye.....or the Mull of Kintyre if there is even a slim chance of seeing these fantastic birds.
Seeing a wild Scottish golden eagle is on my list of ambitions.
Best wishes Chris
