Cheeky .... LOL .  I still have the picture of the clothes peg! I don't want to spoil Seymour's thread as he has done it specially for us dopes, but I will post it somewhere.

    Cheers, Linda.

  • Easy.  It's the Lesser-Crested Redcross.  It's the white square formation around the nape, belly and primaries which gives it away.  Honestly, am I the ONLY person on this forum who knows anything about birds?

At least now we know what's causing all the technical problems on the site.  Seymouraves is in league with the RSPB picture-stealing demons.  Evil, totally evil....

  • hmmm, looks like a blind juvenille starling to me lol

  • Oh, I can see the picture now.  That helps.

Right, I know this one.  It's a simple process of elimination.

See, it can't be a Dunnock, because they are found on the ground.

It can't be a juvenile Robin, because this is a duffers' quiz.

It can't be a juvenile Starling, blind or otherwise, for the same reason.

It can't be a Garden Warbler, because you don't find them in gardens.

It can't be a Wren, because they are invisible.

It can't be a Sparrow, because they have declined by 85% and this bird looks 100% present.

There's only one thing left it can possibly be.  It's a Little Brown Job.

    How did I do?

    BB

PS Really, is it a dunnock?

  • I'd say Juvenile Starling too, I've found it so hard resisting the urge to answer this one all night. I think this one has been the only one I've felt positive is the right answer.
