Ever thought about making a Christmas cake for birds?

Birds like cake, fact. Is it good for them, well yes it is, they don't need to worry about obesity or high cholesterol as they use up so much energy flying and just trying to stay warm! So most cakes are fine for wild birds, as long as they don't have dessicated cocunut in them any cake crumbs will go down a treat with lots of garden birds such as robins, house sparrows, blackbirds and starlings.

But as its now December with Christmas on the horizon, how about baking your garden birds a Christmas cake all of their own? If anyone fancies taking on the challenge, please report back with your recipe, pictures of cake in the making and the end result, lots of happy looking birds digging in!!!
