Hello, I found a blackbird egg in my garden. He was on the ground, but there was no mother around. How can I take care of eggs at home? Does anyone know what temperature it is?

  • Hi Deniz and welcome to the forum ... it is highly unlikely that this egg will still be viable as you have no idea of how long it's been out of a nest, likely accidentally dropped by a predator and it's against wildlife laws to keep an egg from a wild bird to try to hatch it when there is no real hope of returning it to the wild unless under special licence ... you could place the egg outside in order that it may be acceptable to other wildlife and so recycled as nature intends!
