Black Swan on its own.

There is a small lodge near me with a single black swan on. His mate was killed in November last year. I think it's a male. How do I go about getting a new mate for it. It doesn't fly away from the lodge. It shows signs of distress when Canadian geese come on to the lodge as if he's protecting.
