I wonder if you can tell me how many Greenfinches you would normally see together in a ‘charm’? Whilst out walking this afternoon I photographed a huge number of them all gathered together. I’ve been photographing wildlife for a long time and have never seen so many.
Thank you SunnyKate2. I’m new to this site so I’m not sure how to do the photos. The last one I put on I just edited my response and the option to attach a photo was there. I’ll give that a go now. :)
Well done and welcome to the forums.
I googled and came up with this.
"In the winter they group together to form flocks of up to about 40 birds, occasionally more. A flock of Goldfinches is called a charm. Many UK goldfinches migrate as far south as Spain."
