I have photos of a house Sparrow which has a 1-inch beak and it's growing longer. Can anyone help explain this?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That's a shame, though it is amazing how they manage to feed regardless of the beaks deformity.

Also, for further reading if you're interested, I had a coal tit with a crossed over beak, which seemed to manage without any issues, and was time and again, to the point I saw two with crossed beaks!
