Today we have seen a chaffinch continuously, over a period of hours, fly up against our kitchen window. Not crashing into it but tapping against it. Sometimes it sits on the window sill and taps away. We tied things to the top opener to dangle down and blow in the breeze to discourage it, but to no avail. It's now nearly 7pm and its been there most of the day, we are getting concerned about it! Any clues? Its been a bright sunny and the kitchen window is large, and birds, startled by something, have flown into the window thinking the reflection is an escape route, so it it that it sees something in the reflection and is trying to get there? Help!
