With the Swifts It’s a good job they made the Swift mapper https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/swift-mapper/id1405009547 I think it’s good that the app is free since they need help. I’m guessing they they made sure it was free cause they want to make it easyer for more people to help the Swifts. Im going to be helping keep track of the Swifts and Martins. I usually see and hear Swifts fly over the garden in the summer and I usually see House Martins nesting locally under the eaves in the Neighbourhood and I see Barn Swallows at the Orchard which has a barn or on the Cotswold Hills and near Farmland. I think it’s good they came up with the idea of this app cause people can keep track of the Swifts and try and help them. Also One of the main reasons this is interesting is That It’s good there’s a temporary ban on hunting turtle doves. Its not good that it’s temporary but its good that they have put a ban on it so they can recover And it’s good they want to continue the ban to give them the breeding and feeding habitats they need which would help bring them back again

Wendy S said:Quite encouraging in many ways Zo, Here in N.Yorkshire some of our friends are involved in a scheme to help Turtle Doves when they arrive in the Eastern part of the county. As well as surveying suitable areas they are working alongside farmers to sow suitable plants along field edges and similar areas and so far results have been encouraging.
Thats good the results have been encouraging. Even though it’s not necessarily guaranteed hopefully the results will still be in the near future aswell
