Since Friday, most of the regular birds that seem to visit my feeder have just disappeared, with my garden only getting a fraction of what it used to. Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring? I’m pretty new to birding and I know it’s breeding season so does this factor in? A sparrow hawk attacked a nest, would this make any difference? Thanks, Ellis
Greats on the lookout
My pair looking out too
Little bluey
I'll also add, insects are becoming more prolific and active, so those who rely on insects, which may be closer to the nest, will take prevalence.
There's quite a compendium of reasons many already mentioned, as to why you're not getting the visitors you had, but I doubt its anything to worry about, they'll be back.
