Sick robin

Our robin has been happily taking mouthfuls of live mealworms away continuously for a couple of weeks, but suddenly yesterday he started sitting almost motionless outside the back door, and was apparently not interested in food. His eyes close for long periods and look like they might have some growth or bare patches round them. Feathers are drooping and untidy, but there's no obvious signs of injury - photo attached.. Today he seems much worse and only moves occasionally, ignoring mealworms placed right in front of him, although he has managed to get to a dish of water. Is this likely to be some sort of infection/virus, and is there anything we can do, or if we could get him to a wildlife hospital is it likely they could help ? thanks Stephen
