We often see great pictures of the stars of the bird world but the ordinary birds never get a look in.
I would like to start a picture thread of those birds that we share our everyday lifes with like the Sparrows and Pigeons etc...
Lets all take our cameras out and give them a chance to shine.
Doggie - your blue tit next to last photo is brilliant!
Judi - since when have bramblings and bullfinches been ordinary? LOL terrific photos though.
Cheers, Linda.

Well when you have seen a bee-eater, a brambling is ordinary LOL
Of all creatures, man is the most detestable, he is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. ~ Mark Twain
I've had masses of birds in the garden today but because of the freezing fog it hasn't been great for photography. I did have a visit from a nice little Pied Wagtail. Only ever come into the garden in the winter.
And since Judi is posting exotics like Brambling I'll post my king of the castle.
Pity about the grey sky.
Of course I could cheat and put in some blue sky

Cor, you've got sunshine I see, Linda. We've had freezing fog all day and the temperature hasn't risen above -2 C all day.
Love the proud looking Magpie and doesn't the Dunnock look handsome. With all those berries you ought to be attracting Fieldfares, Redwings or even Waxwings.
LOL TJ. I didn't say I took them today!!! Snap as far as temps go. It hasn't been above -2 here either, but only a light mist, not proper fog. As for the berries, nothing eats them! They just use the branches as a perch. Miserable birds!
Love the blue sky! Who said the camera never lies? LOL
Old piccies/fieldfares/through the windows....I`m sending my chilblains to you two- through the post.
I saw loadsa redpolls today but am sticking to the spirit of the thread with this offering. It were right parky out there today -Sithee.
Ecky thump, Edge. That's a very melanistic Fieldfare. Even the Mistle looks a bit surprised. LOL
Hang on to your chilblains, you'll probably need them for next year.
Stayed out `til it was dark too! O to be a duck!
It`s going to be grand next year btw.
It was so cold here today...
