Yesterday i went out to Sculthorpe Moor with Jackfrost & his wife,
We had a great day, loads of birds but i'll tell you about them later,
as we were walking around the reserve, every time we got near water
all you could hear was the croaking of masses of frogs, they were everywhere, in the stream, the ponds & even in the grass !!!
In the pond there was hardly any space left for anymore to join in
not only were they up in the weeds, there were some under water just sitting & resting !!
the one that got away !!!When we were walking to the last hide we had to watch where we walked as they were all over the path, as we looked out of the hide the grass in-front was moving with all the frogs,
We did see a heron doing his best to keep the frog numbers down,
yum!!! frogs for breakfast, dinner & tea.
thanks for reading, Don't you just love Frogs !!!!!!
WOW !!!!
thanks all,
so glad you all liked my photos,
those frogs were amazing !!
Brilliant pictures there Val and have to agree with Alan, it is just such a brilliant little reserve.
Andrew
Yes they were amazing, every where we looked frogs, and more frogs, but as sugar said the local herons were having
a field day, thanks for showing the reserve to us, Alan
