My previous station was virtually the same but made of a solid colour plastic so I could not see inside so decided to find a clear box instead.
Although I have not seen any hedgehogs for well over a month the weather is such that I have been leaving food and water out just in case.
So come the spring I hope to see it in full use and not feed the local cats!
It's not always easy to hug a hedgehog.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
Nice one Rachel, and so simple. Will the hedgies worry that it's transparent, or is that a dumb question because it's always dark when they use it?
Cheers, Linda.

An optimist sees the beauty of the complete rose.A pessimist sees only the thorn .
I think it's a great design idea. It could even catch on!
Best wishes Chris

OK I'm a dumbo!
Great idea for a hedgehog feeding post MP! Wish I had hedgehogs here, but there are too many predators and I haven't seen one for more than twenty years! So sad. I wish you luck, hope they turn up soon.
bye for now
what a great idea, but put pea nuts in to deter thieving cats!
Hi tulip
I never see hedgehogs in my wild life garden, but i do see their poo!
I will try the box feeder. :)
very good. We get one occasionally in our garden. I can tell because Molly (our border Terrier) stands guard over it thus giving away its position. usually arrives in the night, and molly will not come in!!
Cheers
Terry
