Reports of the various winter grebes and divers came to my attention, so I decided on a jolly to Studland, to see what was what. I had to pop in to town to see Mrs PB at work (not to gloat, honest!!) and when I left there, on a whim, I decided no... not Studland today... the old river.
The weather was set for sunny intervals (it turned out to be more intervally than sunny!!) and when I arrived, a lovely soft light lit the Black Headed Gulls. No clue as to why I focussed on the farther one!
A bright flash caught my eye
A bit of careful manoeuvring, and I avoided the stalks and twigs
So obviously he flew off!
The gulls were still atop the wire
Across the river from me, non stop musical chirruping alerted me to the lollipops
And a Treecreeper landed adjacent ** Note... that is not the Treecreepers head... it was AI inserted when I removed a twig using Generative Remove**

More LTT frolicking
SURPRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time in a few years I've spotted an otter
Snack time!
Down the hatch
Incoming!
Lucky Rook! Can't work out what it's got, flat croissant? half a jammy dodger?
Still hungry!
A different red breasted bird!
Bluey
Not even a hint of a red eye Snappy!!
2nd sighting, 100 yards further up stream
Almost in focus!
Twice!!
Last lollipop
There always seems to be something that is giving me the eye!!
So, trip two complete, with a very fortuitous change of destination!
Thanks for reading.... who knows where I'll end up tomorrow!?
Stay Safe All
Amazing photos!
I adore the sweet chirping commotion of the flying lollipop invasion, as I call it :D
Lovely photo's of the kingfisher PB, with it's catch. I have never seen an otter, it is on my list...
Grrrrrrrrrr...hate you.......love the Otter
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)

Love the lollypops, colours of the Kingie, Robin, otter, all,of them really! It looks like the bottom half of a roll to me?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Gosh, what amazing sightings with Kingy and an Otter ! The AI is scary stuff but clever how it can remove and replace parts of the photo. Who would have thought technology would advance so far ! you've certainly helped end my busy day in delightful relaxing fashion with these beautiful photo captures PB. If you were here I'd give you a large slice of homemade Lemon Meringue Pie (made from scratch, none of the lazy shop pastry ! ) .... with Minestrone soup to start which I made for my lovely neighbours who returned home from a weekend break. Loved the rook with its takeaway jammy dodger !!
