Jackdaw superflock!

  1. Just wanted to let you know about a superflock of jackdaws we have here in mid Wales. Not far from Lampeter, they gather in their thousands each evening, coming from all over the area to roost in trees just up the hill from us. As all the different groups (or clatters) gather, they murmerate in fantastic displays that would rival any starlings and chatter at a staggering volume. We like to think they're telling eachother about their busy days and working out any grievances. We feel very lucky to experience this rare phenomena and wanted to register it somewhere.
