So it was snowing this morning , plenty birds in the garden an PB was posting a plenty to keep me occupied but soon as the snow stopped I got itchy feet for a wee waddle. The snow never lay as ground was too wet and a knew the Haugh would be flooded and manky..which usually means ma wee blue pal comes close to the hide to fish
Upon arrival few cars and a few deer bouncing about the forest. As we walked across the top field lots or chitter chatter from the goldies
And a bullie
This was after 2pm so the lighting is rather poor sorry expecting sunshine the morra though
Then a lovely Buzzard caught my attention
It soon got ushered away by the crows to come land again .....but not for long
On yer way!!!
Then doon tae the swollen Clyde...Mr and Mrs Goosander
Nae wellies so no going across the day
So it was back the mucky pathway to the hide
I really need to invest in wellyboots
Into the hide and another 2 folk were in ....WTF this is my patch lol
Creeping hector
Little Grebe
And just as ma wee finger were turning blue.......
In flies kingie
And as you can see light was fading
All in all a would say that was a no bad wee wander up the Haugh
Happy New Year All
And thanks for looking
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Nice film Linda and great photo's. Not seen a bullfinch in a while now.
Thanks SM....fortunately for me the bullies come everyday
Great photos Linda and certainly worth the trip considering the amount of sightings, great pics of the Buzzard, I see the buzzards that visit every day beyond my rear garden fence and hedgerow but they always land on the posts furthest away, I have managed a number of photos of them but if only they would come and land on the posts nearer my back garden, still I can always rely on seeing some like yours Linda and those that are posted on here.Nice you Managed to photograph a Kingfisher that must have made your day. Good to see the goosanders and bullfinch as well. Happy new year Linda and all the very best for 2025
Lovely little wander Linda, reminds me I've not seen kingies in ages
Great to get the Kingfisher Linda still searching for a location up here
Just after I'd looked through your post Linda, I went to Flickr for a browse and saw this https://flic.kr/p/2qD6sGU which looks away like your Buzzard It would be a rarity and I know Buzzards all look different but the similarity was .......
Brilliant captures Linda, certainly a grand start to your new year ... hope it continues to be a happy one

Well, you did have a good day up the Haugh. Nice to see bullie, never had one here, and to see the Kingie again, lovely. Such vibrant colours they have. A good trip out on a cold day.
