A few hours out this morning/afternoon and as soon as we walked into the woodland area the treecreepers were everywhere so must have had a good breeding season for them; they are stunning little birds and one of our favourites to see.....
Will have to choose an oak bark to camouflage rather than a beech trunk !!
lots of young ones around

Fabulous series Hazel :o) If I see a Treecreeper it's generally in the shadow lol Thanks for sharing yours :o)
Brilliant photos, Hazel. They are charming wee birds which are often overlooked.

Thanks PB and TJ, you were quick to see this thread ! Normally TC's have a habit of hiding behind the trunks but they were so busy picking the insects out of the bark and hopping from tree to tree they didn't take any notice of me !! They are such underrated little birds as you say TJ with fabulous plumage and a tail they use as a wedge like a GS.Woodpecker does.
Now you come to mention it, they are usually on the opposite side of the tree to me with my camera. Well captured ...
Question is, BD, what are they doing with your camera??
Very nice indeed Hazy.
So lovely to see the treecreepers Hazel, lucky you to get to watch them do their thing, I do usually find myself with a dodgy neck trying to follow them when I finally see one
