Tasty feast!
Hoverfly thingy...well a canny mind away back to last year lol
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Thanks William
A few more from today. Blue bottle fly
Robber fly again this one seemed less hairy.
Common Scorpionfly
Yellow dung fly
Great shots Mr Kes. I like particularly like the Common Scorpion Fly. To say they are Common, I don't think I have ever seen one ... . Mind you there's lots in that tiny world we don't see.
I don't know how I missed this thread, but hey-ho, one from a few weeks back on a visit to Charlecote Park, yellow dung fly

A nice looking fella
Cheers BD. Agreed yes. They aren’t very large so you might have missed them. Seen them hanging around nettles.
Beautiful
A few more finds today. Seems to be a good amount of insects out.
sawfly of some sort google says.
Not sure…..
Red-headed cardinal beetle again. Lots of them around.
couldn’t find a common name for this one.
I would say that number 3 could be some kind of Cricket and number 6 looks like a Nysson Spinosis (only maybe ) Great pictures though whatever they are ...
Great macro's Mr Kes. I like the 2nd photo down of the sawfly peering over the leaf. The cricket could be a 'Dark Bush-cricket - Pholidoptera griseoaptera', similar photo's on Google Lens for it.
