It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

Thanks William
Hi Linda & Wendy, Its good to look at all the fab photos on here & pleased to help.
Although I have seen a few more butterflies in the last couple of weeks I've not managed to photograph many at all. Did manage to get this one from through the window:
Omg, I don't believe it, warm, very windy and rainy....well I had to get me wellies on then battery said exhausted... thankfully the butterfly was aswell and waited for me
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
It was worth it Linda

Charlecote Park, a large white butterfly landed closeby, giving a perfect opportunity to get some closeups, with the RF 24-240 lens.
