It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

Thanks Wendy
Nice video Wendy, you are getting a few species now
Super video Wendy. I enjoyed watching it ...
Felt like a small child in a sweetshop this afternoon. Not only did the garden fill up with Peacock butterflies, we had a few other types turn up too.
I think this one is a Small White.
Comma. Why claim one flower when you can have two.
Red Admiral.
Peacock.
Super clear & colourful pics Ed, lovely visitors at last, worth the wait

Very nice Ed, great photo's.
Thank you SnappyMac. Going to give the garden another try soon. I have been out and all I can hear the the buzzing of all sorts of bees etc. One of the flower beds seems to be "moving".
Kind regards
Ed
