It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

A good selection Mr Kes. I have not yet seen a silver y this year, last year their seemed to be a lot about.
I see someone else other than SM is hogging all the flutterbys and the sunshine...so not fair!
Lovely selection Mr Kes

Thanks SnappyMac. Quite a few silver y round here. Though it’s back to rain for the next week. Very few butterflies about at the moment.
Ha ha. Thanks Linda. Yes had a few nice days. Back to rain now for a week.
A great selection Mr Kes. Like you I have seen very few butteflies around yet. Probably something to do with being cold and wet ... .
Ah found 2 today . Will try and post some photo's in a bit.
