I looked for this year's thread which doesn't seem to have been started yet as it will be a few weeks before we see some of the young birds ......
so will start of 2024 with one of the first young to appear - a rather cute wild "funny wabbit" which was one of two kits seen. Only record pic taken through window.
(Last year's thread HERE )

Nice photos BD I have a few that visit my garden and in the warm months, well there was a few days lol we had a blackbird that laid on its front with its wings spread out and it was if it was sun bathing, not sure if anybody has seen this behaviour before ?
The young of Gwithian Green NR!
The young barn swallows waiting for their food....
still patiently waiting....
At last....

Thanks ILR. I have seen young Robins and Treecreepers sunbathing in the position you describe, (not together). I believe it conditions there feathers with natural oils and helps shift parasites.
Lovely set of shots Mike
Lovely to see, Mike
Great action shots Mike. I particularly like number 5, it is like one is giving the other a kiss ...

Yes, it did look a little like kissing, but it was good to get such a sequence of shots.
