I looked for this year's thread which doesn't seem to have been started yet as it will be a few weeks before we see some of the young birds ......
so will start of 2024 with one of the first young to appear - a rather cute wild "funny wabbit" which was one of two kits seen. Only record pic taken through window.
(Last year's thread HERE )

Aw ... How cute ...
Our local moorhens on the water below our apartment have had two broods this year; 4 out of 8 chicks survived from the Heron's clutches on first brood but only 2 out of 7 fledglings survived on their subsequent clutch. Here a photo of an older sibling; all four are doing really well now and a beautiful colour and pics of the latest pair of chicks which we hope avoid becoming the herons's lunch/dinner.
and the latest brood with two survivors .....
I hope they make it Hazy, the heron has had enough ...

Nice to see the moorhens youngsters, and the water is looking so clear.

Juvenile Reed Warbler, trying to hide in the reeds at the side of the canal in Worcester. Lovely to watch
A nice spot Kevin
Thank you, Reed Warblers are incredibly shy, aren’t they? Very lucky
Well captured Kevin. You got a nice little hole to look through ...
Thank you, eventually, it didn't seem keen to sit still
Lovely
