I was thinking it would be good to see what shots anyone interested in Goldcrest have had in the past or present. Being that it’s a relatively difficult bird to photograph. Below are my attempts so far this season. I’ve not given up. I’m determined to get some cracking shots before the season is out. So far nothing of great note.

I think the shades change when the crest is flared. This is usually because some sort of threat is percieved either from a rival or by us humans getting too close. Nevertheless, cracking photos of this wee bird.

It was two different birds I think. Wish it was firecrest but two different Goldcrests.
This little one was fitting about. It seems to have a damaged beak poor little thing. It seemed to be getting on with it either way.
Such a shame, don't see how it can survive!
