After various attempts to see these gorgeous birds this winter we finally hit the jackpot in Suffolk yesterday:
It was as gloomy as hell and raining but who cares?
They've got berries and they're happy!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

those are really good close ups of the waxwings. there very sharp and in focus aswell. good photos can be taken whatever the weather not allways of course but they can be like is the case here with yours.
