Looks quite a successful season for the Little Terns at Seaton Carew. Counted 60/70 juveniles on the beach waiting to be fed and some adults still taking fish back to nests in the cordoned off area. Lots of Ringed Plover about but I didn't notice any chicks - the wardens said they aren't very good parents.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
