After yet another successful year on the Odds & Sods thread, initially started I think by Hazy, it might be wise to kickstart the 2023 thread off.
Thank you to those who have contributed to last years thread, and there has been very interesting odds and sods in "Odds & Sods 2022" that aren't enough to place into a dedicated thread, which you can look back on the following link:

What better for me, and as yet, I've not ventured far, ewe know what I mean, with this lassie on Baddesley Clinton estate yesterday....

Number 3 looks to enjoying the day. Rather like you Bob ...
I always love it up there BD but I think the flies were bothering her. The last few days have been way too hot, almost unbearable, and there is little shade for them unless they either take to woodland or plop down in the long undergrowth..
Tree Sparrow, not seen these very often::
Little Egret in the river:
When first spotted, this Roe deer stag was munching on the blackberries to its right. By the time I got my 80D up and pointed at it, the thing had turned.
I hope its antlers are ok. They look kind of knobbly.
Reports have come through of horses eating radioactive mushrooms, and mutating within minutes.
We spotted this Zebhorse on our walk this morning. At least it wasn't glowing.
If I can't see the Tawny Owls in small copse on land behind our house, at least I can record their call. This was last night, 9:00pm. Female? Oh the strange globe. It's not a UFO. It's a small globe light in our neighbour's garden.
I've been experimenting with Merlin to help identify bird call. Only the microphone on my mobile is rubbish. It doesn't record sound loud enough. I thus take a video on a camera, upload to laptop and play it there with volume turned up. Works a treat, though I already knew this recording was of a Tawny owl.
Oh, the funny shhpclick noise you hear. That is the 80D trying to focus.
