After yet another successful year on the Odds & Sods thread, initially started I think by Hazy, it might be wise to kickstart the 2023 thread off.
Thank you to those who have contributed to last years thread, and there has been very interesting odds and sods in "Odds & Sods 2022" that aren't enough to place into a dedicated thread, which you can look back on the following link:

What better for me, and as yet, I've not ventured far, ewe know what I mean, with this lassie on Baddesley Clinton estate yesterday....

Peak District red deer and Derbyshire hares this weekend. I do post them quite a bit but they are both great to watch in their own way.
Always like to see the deer. They are wonderful. We don't get many around here, just the occasional Roe deer. I love to see the hares too ...
Soon be the rut up there BD. The most famous of the peak district deer was killed last year in the rut sadly. It will be interesting though to see which one takes up the mantle. Not all down to points on the antlers, more of the attitude so even a smaller determined stag can do well rounding up and keeping hold of the hinds
A few more little Wrens from down my local woods, taken in the brief gap between heavy showers ....

Nice to see a family of these Yellow Wagtails in the garden today. (Well I hope they are wagtails).
