Butterflies and Moths 2023

I think this is a "Silver Y" moth feeding on one of our Buddleia plants.

Nice pic Ed, definitely Silver y, you have caught the 'y' marks very clearly!

Not sure what make this is... possibly some colour aberration, but seemed to be loads of Red Admiral and Peacocks, and a few different whites about

Silver wash fit. form valezina (female) there seems to have been lots reported this year - fabulous looking insect

Thanks both. 1st one of the year for me, and only seen a couple previously but the colour looked too monochrome compared to my memory lol

Had a visit today from two Red Admiral butterflies.  Managed to get a snap of this one.  Shame i did not get the head totally in focus.

Still it nice to see these return to the garden again. 

Spotted the other day at work.... pretty!
