Was Blue sky and large raindrops when I left but had to get out the house!
Only went up to my usual Haugh
Buzzards were very vocal when we arrived
the wind was hellish then came more rain
But saw my 1st Whooper swan and Bar-tailed Godwit so wasn't all bad
Whooper seemed to be making friends
A bit unsteady on them legs
Oops
A lull for 5 mins
Lapwings took to the sky and we took to the soggy wet path home
Poor Whooper
Thanks for looking...I hope to be out tomorrow again weather permitting!
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Lot to learn
Jeez PB you always need to put me on the spot! Lol....its too early for me to be trying to ID a splash splashy duck BUT it's not a Goosander that I can say lol
After raking through my pics
A Teal perhaps lol
A put a wee Kingie in my pocket this time.. ;-)
Another brilliant set of photos Linda, and considering the rain, there was enough dry sunny moments for you to enjoy the visit, and share lots of lovely photos.

You're welcome.
It's good that you can have somewhere close enough just to chill and enjoy whatever. I miss getting to my local reserves, mainly down to my leg, though one is obstructed by HS2, and not forgetting the others which are a couple of hours drive away. But I will, and it's always good to see your photos along with everyone else's.
