After seeing this table on the site
I thought I would start a thread so you can all look out for new arrivals and tell us about them here...pic too if you can
My 1st arrival is a Whooper Swan at the Haugh
I also saw a couple of Dunlin and Redwing but with hellish weather only got the lovely Whooper ;-)

Nice to see the Whooper Swan; so far I've seen Common Pochard, Wigeon on our local mere ten minutes walk away and pink-footed Geese flying over in huge skeins. Apparently, on the parkland here someone spotted what they thought was an Osprey on migration which took a minute flying over/around the mere and then headed south. Was raining much of the day so I didn't venture out but can't wait for the winter visitors to head in as we say goodbye to some of our spring/summer favourites. I'm particularly looking forward to welcoming back the winter thrushes as the little redwing is such a favourite of mine.

Fabulous Hazel..a bet your wishing you saw the Osprey aswell..Yes I also long to see the Redwing and fieldfare in the garden....I stupidly ventured out today bit only managed an hour with the heavy downpours. I also saw Black-tailed Godwit are they migratory birds?

To be honest, I've mostly seen Godwits in autumn/winter months although I believe small numbers do breed in UK so guess you can see them all year round but you'll need an expert to give you more details.
Icelantic black tailed godwits spend the winter in the uk Linda and some migrate to west Africa
