I will kick it off with one of my regulars...Jock the Sprawk
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
My wife and I visited Carlton Marshes recently and were in one of the hides overlooking a small lagoon, it was cold and windy with not much about when we spotted a Marsh Harrier coming towards us. It kept getting closer circling over the reeds and eventually landed not far in front of us.
While waiting for the Harrier to take off and watch it again we noticed an Owl box to the left of the hide with a Kestrel perched on top, it dropped down to inspect the box, looked inside then flew off.
The Harrier eventually flew up after about 20 or so minutes but didn't hang about and flew straight off..
After that the day turned wet as well as cold and windy.
Best Wishes,
Trevor
