Female kestrel today. Very odd light on her that made her feathers look like a male... I did have to look twice and check the head
This was taken four years ago. Believe it is a kestrel.
Red Kite over the garden:
Wow! that's a cracker Snappy. Superb detail, particularly on the eye and facial areas, and the feathers of it's breast ....
Wow SM, what a photograph, so much detail when zoomed in. Fits perfectly in the frame and caught just right. You should enter that in some competition.

I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I thought I'd share this. A sparrowhawk has been hanging about the garden recently, and I managed to capture it going about it's business on the garden camera.
It was spending lots of time sitting on the fence patiently waiting.
Then, I found piles of feathers outside, and checking back on the camera I saw this. It's a pigeon that it's after.
Eventually it flew off with the remains of it's meal to finish elsewhere.
