A small Pond in West Yorkshire

It may have been a small pond but still plenty to be photographed ...I ain't even managed any damsels or dragons this year so thanks for sharing yours ILR ;-)

Thank you Linda, I went to this pond two years ago and on that occasion there were
Quite a few dragonflies about but I only saw one this time and that was flying away towards the opposite end of the pond. I did get some photos of some dragonflies at Fairburn Ings Reserve and I shall post them on here in another post.

I have had a couple of dragonflies in the garden but too slow with the camera!!

Probaby next year now! lol.....its thunder, lightning and lovely rain now ;-)

Just goes to show how many critters are around with this warm weather, we are getting quite a few damsels and dragonflies ..... and mallards !! lovely set ILR.

Lovely set of captures, I love the Red-eyed Damselflies only ever seen one at Minsmere a while ago. Our little garden pond is very quiet at the moment not much happening at all.

Hi PB Thanks very much, I have found it’s nice to target different wildlife and knowing the best times to go to each venue and when you get there it can be either great or not as expected and then you see something fantastic which makes your day. That’s why we do it, It’s like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get, to photograph that is. I actually went to see the dragonfly’s and I only saw one flying across the pond in the opposite direction, but I wasn’t disappointed with what I did see and it was a nice not too hot a day to have a little wander.
