Two days of rain, some very heavy, in the Pennines has now reached Hexham and the Salmon are going crazy for it.

Wendy S said:Always a great sight to see Bob. We have a couple of spots on the upper reaches of the River Ure where in recent years we have been able to see this. It is certainly a sign that our northern rivers have got a lot cleaner in recent years. Is it the upper Tyne at Hexham? It is a while since we were there Thanks for posting the brilliant photos
Hi Pete, it is still the (joint) Tyne at Hexham bridge and weir though its probably only 4 or 5 miles further upstream to the meet of the North and South Tynes..
Lot to learn

Wonderful shots Bob. They are all excellent, but my favourite is number 18. I love how it is following the line of the river and the Salmon is so detailed. Well captured ...
