Hello lovely northern folk

Finally found Ripon city wetland.... Not a single signpost til you're in the race course car park! 100's of little blue damsels, some emperor dragons, and I managed to catch a term overhead, but can't post til I get home.

The signing is a problem pb the trouble is the entry road and car park belong to the racecourse and they seem to a law unto themselves as they lock up at 5pm.The actual reserve is about 1/4 mile from the car park We were there yesterday, first outing of the week due to medical appointments and grandparent duty. There good numbers of Swifts and Hirundines over both lakes and both pair of Common Terns have young. Chris was in her element with Dragonfly and Damselfly as well as good number of Butterflies.

There were loads of blue damsels about when I was there and managed to catch one of the Terms flying over. I've sorted all my pics from the week, except Bempton (over 800 pics there) so when I get home I'll do a Yorkshire trip post
