Found a drop :-)
Young visitor
This morning the young one visited again, I'll put photos on proper thread. Have to keep watching the garden now with water pistol in hand, 'cause of another visitor, not welcome, cat next door.
Lot to learn
Forgot about these - the White balance went haywire, so had to fiddle with camera later!!
You don't realise how huge these gulls are until they enter your space!!!:-)

It appears there aren't enough fish in the sea !! Thanks for your comments and just to add some with a better colour.
This dish is for the Magpie and Corvids, supposedly!!!! There isn't a lot of room for the Gull to fly down but where there's a will.....
A brilliant selection of photos Gaynor.
Sadly, our bird bath is being used as a dunking bowl, yes, d.u.n.k.i.n.g. bath for bread by our local crow(s)!
However, the local magpies have cottoned on, and as the crow dunks the bread, its left to soak the water while the crow flies off for more bread, before picking up the earlier bread to fly off to I guess the brood...
Like I said, the local magpies have cottoned on to this, so after a very short while, they come down and help themselves to the dunked bread!
Annoying because of the regular bird bath clearing out, but fascinating showing bird ingenuity.
I did try to set up a remote video, but its too far away from the house for the signal to reach and both trailcams are in use.

The rain is soaking the food so it needs eating up!!

Sorry for the blurring!!! took me by surprise too :-)
gaynorsl said:I would beat them to it Mike and soften your bread first of all :-)
I would, but the bread isn't from us, it is a neighbour down the road somewhere.
A return from a visit to a local reserve yesterday (bank hol Mon) and we had a full sized pizza in the bird bath, which is currently empty of water!
