Lovely photo.
I've got to ask, because every time I see a new reserve named, I check out its location on the map, as a prospective place to visit, it it not far from Bromsgrove?

Kevin Brooke said:Thank you, and yes, it is opposite Webbs of Wychbold. On one side of the reserve is the flashes, where you can see salt-water birds such as Avocets, Curlews etc and on the other side, there are freshwater birds that include the occasional Kingfisher. www.worcswildlifetrust.co.uk/.../upton-warren is a real gem I only found out about recently
I know where Webbs are, having passed them many times in years gone by visiting Avoncroft, so not that far away.
Another one on the list.....
A juvenile moorhen.
and after a bit of bribery, though the rattle of the food pot was enough alone to bring the juv moorhan closer....
A couple of a young Robin from yesterday
Pendennis Castle, Falmouth, the housemartins are making the best of the warm weather with a late brood!
I assume this is a young one, by its fluffy feathers and unassuming manner - it sat there for a while and even waited long enough for the sun to come out
