So the story goes...My dad and my 2 kids (adult kids 22 &18) decided to go a wee overnighter to Lindisfarne...WITHOUT ME!...but part of me was there...my wee camera was invited along so technically the pictures are all mine lol

Its surprising they didn’t take you but took your camara instead of taking you. they must of just got very exited about it. I think the Eider you thought might be female is likely a female. The number 15 I think that is likely a Moorhen. They saw a lots of birds when they went there. You should defiantly go there next time
2 and 4 are Fulmar, not Kittiwake. The gulls 2 pics down from no 6 are Kittiwake. I wonder if 9 is a male Eider coming out of eclipse plumage 14 is a Curlew and 15 is a Moorhen
That’s interesting. I didn’t know they have an eclipse plummage. I defanatly don’t think it’s a Female anymore. I think it might actually be more likely to be comeing out of eclipse instead like Bobs Retired Just said. cause I had a look at a Common Eider comeing out eclipse plummage aswell. This is what a male and Female Eider looks like
