First hedgehog sighting on the trailcams for 2022
The worm gave a good fight. Win some, lose some, it was not to be for this hedghog, this time.https://www.flickr.com/photos/peak-rambler/51945782183/First hedgehog sighting on the trailcams for 2022https://www.flickr.com/photos/peak-rambler/51945782183/

I usually get a few sightings throughout the year, so hopefully, a few more postings to follow.
Lot to learn
I think That will be interesting. The only time I ever see Hedgehogs Where I am most of the time is usually when the young come out. There used to be a fence across half the garden separating both sides of it and there was a hole in the fence which the hedgehog used to go through. When the hole was gone the hedgehog didn’t show up anymore and didn’t visit the garden again. One day last year was the first time I ever seen a Hedghog in the garden where I am again and it was a young one. Someone came over with a dog here that day. We didn’t know there was a hedgehog in the garden but the dog brought it in in her mouth and put it down. I had to tell the person to keep the dog away while I put it in my hedgehog shelter I used a towel and put the hedgehog In my hedgehog shelter so the dog can’t get to it. And the next morning it was gone.and I havnt seen one here ever since.
Last Winter I went to Hucclecote to see someone I know That has a mixed breed and the rest of them Romanian rescues. There was a lot of occasions last winter where we only found out there was a hedgehog in that garden cause the dog found them. It was mainly the mixed breed that found them and he would let the Romanian rescues know aswell as the owner. the Romanian rescues before being rescued Had to learn how to live out on the streets and they even had puppy’s out on the street and cause of there background there more on the Wild side. And very pack oriemtated. It was guaranteed the dogs will find a hedgehog If there is one outside. And they did find them on multiple occasions. Dogs can be problematic for hedgehogs if there’s hedghogs visiting the garden and you don’t know there is. The dogs owner sent the hedgehogs the dogs found that month to a hedgehog charity one died cause of stress or injury unfortunately but the good news is the rest recovered and were released from there and then the neighbour next door to the family member looked after them. She feeds them and everything. but I defiantly havnt seen one on a trail cam before and will be interesting to see more postings of the Hedghogs on your trail cam.

It was, and certainly gave a good pull at the worm.
No more hoggies triggering the cams, but plenty of fresh hoggie poo, so they're still coming.
