Titch from two days ago

Singing from up on high for a mate

He has been around more over the last two days, evidently the female he had attracted in earlier didn't stay so we are on the look around again

I may be old but can still throw out the notes

Come on you down there, get me the mealies so I can sing some more

He flew down to the oak tree next door and gave a lovely rendition of "over here"

There was movement in the hedge and another bird (could have been an interested party) flew away with Titch in pursuit.

Out walking today I spotted a sunbathing rabbit

then along the next hedgerow who was there but mr white rabbit

Always good to see him after the winter and know he is still surviving

Now that is proper sunbathing posture!

Then this afternoon I had a visit from the Pied Wagtail

Going for a dip

Quick preen

This is the best one, through the window of course

Splishing a little, then a Dunnock came in and frightened it away, never mind I enjoyed the visit.

Cheers all

Gaynor

Lot to learn

  • Titch is certainly looking in fine form Gaynor...Lovely to see Mr White Bunny again and the wee surprise visit from the waggie for a splish splash ;-)
Always lovely to see old and new visitors

    (Pardon the Scottish Accent)

  • Poor Titch!

At least he's in good form, so hopefully he'll woo a nice lady...

Lovely photos Gaynor, and I wonder if the rabbit is a domestic one that's escaped, or released.

Good to see you've sunshine up there as well, I'm hoping it stays around for our (me and Mrs PR that is) visit over Easter.....

  • Lovely pics in the sunshine, great to see Titch & the white rabbit!

  • Great to see Titch in full song mode and hope he's successful in finding a mate after all that effort ! He's a handsome little robin and so glad he's holding territory. Nice to see the funny wabbit again and the other birds in your garden; here's to a busy springtime and some mini Titch's !! Lovely photos Gaynor and that blue sky is a sign of proper springtime :)

  • Thank you all, Linda I tried my best with the Waggie, but not half as nice as your pics, still nice to catch in the garden. Yes |Mike the white rabbit is one that lives in the small -holding at the end of the lane, it went wild a few years ago, has had a few litters, no whites though, and I think returns for shelter in the winter to it's old home, only a guess, but as it is still around it must find a warm place to semi hibernate and eat of course. Thanks Wendy, hope you too get to see your hedgehogs soon, it is definitely warming up now. Hazy thanks, I hope the sunshine continues at least until this weekend, though it makes me want to walk and I did too much yesterday!!!
