I did say the weekend went a bit to pot, and with the impending change in the weather, Mrs PR told me to get out.....
So I did, back to Brandon, with another early start, and sunrise
A pair of oyster catchers flew in, and that wasn't all they did, I was shocked and stunned!
But I'll spare the details, and allow them some privacy!
Mr M looking good in the morning sunlight
Now this may have an interesting outcome, or not. A pair of wood pigeons showing interest in a nestbox set up for kestrels!
For those curious, the telegraph pole to the left is an osprey nest, as yet, unused.
A buzzard flies over...
Walking back for a sausage bap, I was serenaded by this little fella....
A divert to the next hide to see if the snipe were still there first. Sadly they had been evicted by the rising river levels increasing the water levels on the pools, flooding their winter home, so IK guess that'll be it until the next time.
Mr Shelduck made a glide past though...
And the goosanders were still prevalent, 1 male (not sure if he's a lucky man, or about to be an overworked man ), 4 female.....
And a rare sighting these days.....
Whilst I was enjoying my sausage bap
Mr Chaffie hopping around, taking his turn on the feeders...
Likewise Mr RB...
Well, at least I made good of the sun, before it disappeared, now back to the grey and wet scenario.....

You're welcome and thank you.
Had to make the best of the sun, like you mentioned earlier, back to th dull, grey and wet stuff....
TJS said:Hi Mike,
Definitely, more good use of the sun, as its now dull, grey and wet, again....
The goosanders have been there a while, one drake and four female.

I (nearly) always do as I'm told... by Mrs PR, though I'm not so sure she'd agree, but it was a good move to get out, and glad I did. The carrotbills were catching the sunrise glow just perfectly, making the reds stand out.
