This pair of starlings were having a right old go at each other, whilst another nipped in to the coconut shell for a food

That is the joy of digital - at least we no longer have to print lots of fuzzy photos in the hope of a single possible shot, definitely one for your calendar, be rightly proud of it
Excellent shot Kevin. Not the easiest bird to photograph I find, I often seem to miss detail in the face, but you have caught these just right, with a bit of catchlight too. Well done ...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Fox tracks along a vehicle track on the nascent Longwater road nature reserve. You know how it is, when you walk on snow it sort of compacts and slightly melts the snow. This is what happened along here.
But here's the cool bit. The recent bitter cold during nights (temperatures between -8C and -10C) combined with a slight thaw during daylight (when temperatures might struggle to 1C), sees long ice crystals forming inside the fox tracks.
90% luck, 5% field craft, 5% camera skills.
Could say, 'That's cool' .... but that would be a bit cheesy ... . Well captured and identified ...
