Shutter speed was actually pretty fast - 1/500, so the camera shake was unlikely, but no point in risking it when doing a project. I never actually checked shutter speed at the time as I tend to use AV, and it didn't really matter with being on the tripod. As you say I could have used a cable release. Only a couple from today as we ventured much further up the river than normal..Next to a lovely sewage works were hubby had his very 1st job....still smells the same he said lol
Instantly on arrival much to my surprise
Camera got put away after that and we enjoyed watching 2 of them fly up and down the river..
It was a long steep walk back to the car but passed a few greenies in the field on the way
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
I got sent for a an interview for job at a sewage works when I left school. The manager asked, 'what can you bring to the job', I replied, 'what did you have in mind, my own wellies and shovel?' He gave me the job because he said, 'You'll need a sense of humour to work here'. I never started as I got another job offer a few days later. Phew! That was lucky!
Keeping a close watch for trespassers
Discovered a SSSI last night (site of special scientific interest)opposite a park we often have an early evening walk around.
It only has one on 2 viewing points and it was about 7.45 so light wasn't good but I saw my 1st GCG!!!
As I say light wasn't very good but a was well chuffed and can't wait to go back to see what I can find!
