The flare is caused by the PIR beam, which makes it look like a torch beam effect and prefocused to the optimum focal point.
My trailcams have the same effect, and one is practically level to the desired point of interest.
While I was looking for wading birds, someone pointed out a distant dark shape in the water and said there were 2 seals resting on a sandbank. Apologies for the poor quality of the 2 photos below. It's a gloomy day here and this was as much as my camera could zoom. I first thought it was a rock / log but in the photos, they do look like seals.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
